Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Hispanea (the “Service”), an online Spanish-tutoring platform operated by [Operator legal name] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, booking a lesson, or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Hispanea

You must be able to form a binding contract in your country of residence. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms and supervise the account. Lessons for minors are booked and paid for by the supervising adult.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a one-time email link (magic link). You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Lessons, bookings and credits

  • Lessons may be purchased individually, as prepaid class packs, or via a recurring subscription. Pack and subscription credits are consumed automatically when you book and may carry an expiry date shown at purchase.
  • A booking is confirmed only once payment (or an available credit) has been applied. Lesson times are shown in your selected timezone.
  • Lessons are delivered over in-browser video. You are responsible for a suitable device and internet connection.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details. By purchasing you authorise the applicable charge, including recurring charges for subscriptions until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout and may change prospectively.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, refunds and credit returns are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: recording lessons without consent where required by law, harassing or abusing a teacher or student, sharing account access, attempting to circumvent payment, or disrupting the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

Teaching materials, notes and content provided through the Service are for your personal learning use only and may not be redistributed or sold without permission of the rights holder.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the lesson(s) giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country / jurisdiction], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
